Updated Office Procedures Under COVID-19

Please review our updated office procedures carefully. The health and safety of our patients and staff remain our top priority. We are taking extraordinary precautions to minimize the spread.

When to stay home:

Please stay at home if:

  1. You are currently experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms
  2. If you experienced COVID-19 symptoms that began within the last 10 days
  3. If you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  4. If you have travelled to any states reporting positive testing rates of 15% or higher in accordance with Ohio’s COVID-19 travel advisory

If you need to see a provider for reasons other than a medical emergency, please call the office in advance to discuss your care options. If you need to cancel your appointment for COVID-19 related reasons, please call the office and we will waive any late cancellation fees. In the event of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1.

Face coverings:

All visitors are required to wear a face covering unless a health care provider asks you to remove it to deliver care. If removal of your face covering is required, your medical provider will wear a face covering and face shield in accordance with CDC recommendations.

Social distancing:

Please practice social distancing while in our office. Keep at least 6-feet from other patients, including in the lobby, hallways and reception desk.

Guest policy:

Please come into the office alone unless you are a minor or legal guardian of a minor receiving care. If someone has provided you with transportation to and from the office, they may drop you off and pick you up, or wait in their car during your appointment.

Waiting area:

To facilitate social distancing, we may ask you to wait in your car after checking in for your appointment. We will text you, or come get you, when we are ready to take you to a private room.

Add our number to your contacts:

Please put our office number (513-404-4166) into your contact list so that you know when we are calling you. We may have to reach you to confirm your appointment or reschedule your appointment on short notice.

Restroom use:

Restrooms are reserved for medical or emergency use only. If needed, please use the restroom near the laboratory and not the one next to the lobby.

Universal symptom screening:

Temperatures will be checked for all visitors. Please stay home if you are experiencing a fever (100.4 degrees fahrenheit or higher).

Staff protection:

All staff will be wearing face coverings and following CDC guidelines, including frequent hand washing for at least 20 seconds and social distancing of at least six feet when possible. If patients are asked to remove face coverings for the delivery of care, staff in close proximity will wear face coverings and face shields. Any staff members who have close contact with someone with COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19, will be required to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Maintaining a clean environment:

All surfaces are regularly disinfected, including: credit card readers, pens, iPads, countertops, clipboards, and door knobs. Treatment rooms are disinfected between each patient in accordance with surface cleaning guidelines by the CDC.

Telehealth services:

If you are not comfortable, or unable, to come into our office, we are pleased to offer telehealth consultations accessible from the convenience and safety of your own home. Please visit www.hermdhealth.com/telemed for more information.

Thank you for your flexibility during this time,
